Naturally a practical and creative subject it was with ease to plan in cross-curricular links, however, the delivery can be improved through organisation and preparation of resources. Incorporating spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding within each lesson is also beneficial for our pupils. It allows students to attain subject knowledge and explore creativity digitally (NSED). The use of technology can contribute significantly to a pupils learning Art and Design. It is also important to have links ICT, as it is becoming a necessity of our day-to-day living. Mathematicians can be talented artists (THE 2000). KS3 pupils are to evaluate or analyse of individual work and progress or Artist work, including the use keywords and key terminology. To maintain the quality of a lesson, the scheme of work follows the National Curriculum (Art and Design KS3) with opportunities of cross-curricular links to literacy. Before lesson planning can take place, a scheme of work is essential ensuring that the next stage (planning) is approached from the right angle.
